These very same Espadrilles have been made in a small town in Uruguay since 1907, using the same materials and the same techniques. The shoes are 100% biodegradable with soles formed from a jute vegetable fiber. By working with industries native to their respective regions, Industry of All Nations is able to help employ local craftsmen and develop wealth at the micro-economic level, creating a business model for true environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
